The electrical equipment are regulated for the CE marking to the Directive called ”low voltage” and which means a voltage from 50 to 1000 volts, while below 50 it is called ”very low tension”
The low voltage is therefore the most common and widespread in use and it is also related to the equipment that work with batteries charged with the processor as the small household appliances or even the cordless phones.
The CE marking is visually the application on the product of the EC mark, in size and shape well defined, while substantially it is formed by the following parties:
• Declaration of conformity of the product
• Tchnical dossier of the product
• Iinstallation, use and maintenance manual of the product
• Formalised procedures of production which show in the case of construction in series the correspondence of every single object and the sample on which there were the investigations for the marking
The preparation of the technical file provides a series of activities:
• analysis of risks in phase of design, production and use
• Preparation of drawings, plans, technical documentation , electrical and electronic schemes the collection of the declarations of conformity of the suppliers
• Reports and calculations if deemed explanatory and necessary.
• a copy of the manual
• information and data on the products purchased
It has to be clear that while the EC mark, the identification, the declaration of conformity and the user manual must be present at the time of sale and are part of the product, all the remaining documentation, which is necessary for correct and consistent production must be available to any inspection by competent authority but not of the customers.
